Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 2026 · Escrow Advance, Shortage Adjustments & B2B Trade Claims
1. 10% Advance Commitment & Escrow Protection
Every order placed on MediDeals® requires a 10% advance commitment paid online via Razorpay (UPI, NetBanking, Cards) or the buyer's MediDeals® Wallet/Escrow balance. This 10% advance is held securely in escrow until the order is fulfilled and delivered, while the remaining 90% balance is payable upon physical delivery (Cash on Delivery / bank settlement).
2. Order Cancellation Policy
- Pre-Dispatch Cancellation by Buyer: A buyer may request cancellation before the vendor generates a shipping consignment/AWB or marks the sub-order as dispatched. Approved pre-dispatch cancellations receive a 100% credit of the 10% advance back to the buyer's MediDeals® Wallet or original payment source.
- Vendor Non-Fulfillment / SLA Expiry: If a seller cancels a sub-order or fails to dispatch within the stipulated fulfillment window, 100% of the buyer's 10% advance for that sub-order is automatically refunded.
- Unjustified Refusal on Delivery (RTO): Because the 10% advance protects sellers against arbitrary Return-to-Origin (RTO) losses on B2B COD shipments, buyers who refuse delivery of a conforming consignment without a valid quality or damage claim may forfeit the advance to cover two-way freight and handling costs.
3. Partial Fulfillment & Shortage Refund Policy
If a vendor has partial stock availability for an ordered line item and adjusts the fulfilled quantity prior to dispatch:
- The sub-order total, 10% advance requirement, and 90% COD balance are automatically recalculated pro-rata based on the actual fulfilled quantity.
- The excess 10% advance corresponding to the unfulfilled/shortage quantity is immediately credited/refunded to the buyer's escrow ledger, and both buyer and vendor receive instant in-app and email notifications detailing the shortage adjustment.
4. Returns, Transit Damage & Batch Discrepancies
Due to pharmaceutical storage and safety regulations, routine returns of temperature-sensitive or opened stock are not permitted. However, buyers may raise a B2B Return / Claim within 48 hours of delivery under the following conditions:
- Physical Transit Damage or Leakage: Supported by unboxing photographs/video and carrier docket notation.
- Wrong Product, Strength, or Batch Supplied: Items delivered do not match the confirmed deal SKU or tax invoice batch.
- Short-Expiry Discrepancy: Stock delivered has a shorter shelf life than what was explicitly disclosed on the deal listing at the time of purchase.
Once verified by MediDeals® Trade Support (support@medideals.co.in), the vendor payout held in escrow is adjusted and the buyer's refund or credit note is processed within 5–7 business days.
